According to CGDSEM, three teenagers were swimming when they became separated in the water. Two siblings, aged 15 and 12, were rescued, but their 16-year-old companion, who reportedly could not swim, submerged and did not resurface.
Following a report from the Pantukan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), personnel from Coast Guard Sub-Station Tagdangua were immediately dispatched to the resort to investigate and begin search operations.
The Coast Guard Station Davao de Oro, MDRRMO Pantukan, and a volunteer diver from Barangay Tibagon later joined the search for the missing teenager.
As of 6:27 p.m. on October 31, search operations were still underway, with responders continuing efforts to find the missing individual. OrderCalendars
